At Reyma, we chose to transform how our single-use products are seen into greener solutions by presenting the campaign “Let’s Recycle Together”. With the right amount of inspiration and commitment, this project was only the first step into a strategy to integrate sustainable practices into every level of our operations.

This initiative started back in 2020 when we chose to be part of a powerful environmental solution: recycling. We are convinced that together as a community, we’re able to build a greener future. Our project was launched at the León State Fair, due to its success, we continued the next following six editions and made our way through the León Summer Fair, Rally and International Balloon Festival.

But how did we make it happen? We strategically placed recycling bins around the fairgrounds, and thanks to the support of an internal Reyma Youth Crew, we were able to help assistants to differentiate each bin so their disposals could be correctly placed: organic, inorganic and a foam-exclusive container.

What seemed to be a practical eco-friendly solution, turned into a fun dynamic where thousands of assistants were thrilled about being part of it. Everyone contributed to the repurpose of foam and plastics that were used throughout the event, making the campaign the main character.

Additionally, we placed QR Codes that led to our “Recycling Together” site, providing more information regarding the campaign; the recycling process for each material; and images that were captured while this project was being a success. Thanks to the results from the León State Fair, we were able to manufacture tables made from recycling materials, giving the assistants the opportunity to witness their effort was being rewarded.

Being part of “Let’s Recycle Together” may have been seen as a small action but it makes a big difference for the upcoming generations, finding a balance between economic, social and environmental development while still taking care of our necessities. Together, we’re building a better world for everyone by going green.
